My name is Michelle Rodriguez, and I am a web developer and photographer. I’m 35 years old, married, and have three beautiful daughters. In my free time, I enjoy playing video games, reading, and attempting to make cool crafty things.
I’m a natural-light, lifestyle photographer in Cambridge, MN. I currently have no specialty, though I tend towards small weddings, children, and small group or individual portraits. I prefer an ‘unposed’ look; natural expressions, easy smiles and laughter, raw emotion.
I’ve had a passion for photography since I was a child, back when all we had were film cameras and you couldn’t see your photos until the roll was done and you brought it to the store to get developed (or went to a darkroom to develop it yourself).
As an adult, I allowed myself to ‘splurge’ on a digital SLR, to keep up with my hobby without continually buying point-n-shoots that could never quite match up with my vision. I joined forces with a close friend of mine to tackle a few low-budget weddings, and then I offered my services as a photo editor for her when her computer died. I kept my own photography on the backburner for a while, until recently; I’ve been practicing a lot on my own kids, so I finally decided to ‘release the shutter’, so to speak.
